Moka was born from our passion for good food, yoga, the natural beauty of Portugal, and the amazing waves of Ericeira.
Our dream was to create a place where people from all over the world could meet and share these passions, a space where we could offer the atmosphere and experiences we’ve always sought during our own travels.
Every day, we meet travelers from around the world, listen to their stories, and do something Italians are known for: making guests feel at home, even when they’re far from home!
*The house*
The house is a traditional Portuguese villa with a courtyard, a lush garden, and a terrace with ocean views.
We host up to 20 guests in 7 rooms with 5 shared bathrooms and 1 ensuite.
Bed linen and towels are provided, and the dining room includes a personal pantry and a small kitchenette.
Yoga classes, workshops, and massages take place in our Mongolian yurt, also available for personal use outside the scheduled activities.
The courtyard is the heart of Moka: a space to connect, eat outdoors, or unwind. There, you can ride the wooden skate ramp, swing in the hammocks, or soak in the open-air Jacuzzi.
Free bikes and daily transfers to the beach and to Ericeira are included. You’ll also find cafés, restaurants, and a supermarket just a short walk away.

Daily transfers to Ericeira and to the beach are included in all our packages, and some local bars, cafés, and a supermarket are just a short walk away. You’re also welcome to explore the area with our mountain bikes or take one of the scenic walking trails to nearby beaches.

*Our food*
Food is at the heart of daily life at Moka: a moment to connect with other guests and new friends in a relaxed and easygoing atmosphere.
Each morning, we serve a healthy breakfast with fresh homemade yogurt and vegan cakes. In the evening, our vegetarian take on Italian classics like focaccia, lasagne, and risotto is prepared with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
David Macaluso also known as Mac, is our Italian cook and has been part of the Moka family since 2016.
He started cooking here just for fun, sharing his family’s recipes with us, and that passion slowly turned into a profession. Mac never stops learning. He takes new training courses every year to improve his skills and explore new techniques and delicious dishes.
He’s also a talented surfer. If he’s not in the kitchen, there’s a good chance you’ll find him in the line up!
